We absolutely loved Methodical. It was our first time but we enjoyed some cold brew multiple times during our trip. It may just be the best cold brew we have ever had! We ordered it with honey and milk. We also indulged in a cranberry orange muffin. It was so delicious and had amazing hints of pecan/walnut, orange and of course cranberries. This is a busy spot. During peak hours may not be the quietest to study but there is plenty of seating upstairs. No bathrooms in shop but in a building connected to it. We will definitely come back!

I’m here in Greenville for 1 full day on a work trip. I went to this coffeeshop this morning, and was so impressed I had to go back before they closed. I had a cappuccino, an iced pumpkin spice latte, and a cortado. Of course the pumpkin spice latte was excellent, but I was absolutely floored by the cappuccino and cortado. It is really impressive when the simpler drinks that can’t hide behind flavored syrups are a 10/10. I worked in specialty coffee in Boston for several years and can confidently say the quality coming out of this coffeeshop rivals any of the A-tier coffeeshops I have been to in Boston (and an hour drive surrounding it), NYC, and Providence. I was not expecting to find such a gem in a place I had no idea I’d be visiting! And if the coffee wasn’t a highlight enough, the baristas were so lovely and the service I received was excellent. Seriously cannot put into words how impressed I was - if you are in the Greenville area, you have to visit and experience it for yourself.

Finally a coffee shop that offers great coffee selection that is not invaded with pretentious aprons behind the counter. Since moving here, I've only been to a handful of shops, the other Methodical on Wade Hampton included, and disappointment was the word of the day each time. But not this Methodical location. I come here about once every few weeks to buy beans. For the dark chocolate-y, smokey, nutty coffee fans, Oscuro, Belly Warmer, Late Night and a few others are very tasty beans, (especially paired with your fall favorite syrups like cardamom and spice inspired flavors). Every time I walk in, I am welcomed. Every time I walk in I feel welcomed. This is really not hard to do, but for some maybe it is--I dont know. Since college, the coffee shop has been a mental safe space, a break. Then I began to appreciate and love coffee, and now the coffee shop has evolved into something more for me over the years. For that to be shattered as soon as you walk in the shop, I mean damn. That sucks. But thats not the case here. Appreciate everyone behind the bar at this location. Coupled with the wonderful variety of freshly roasted beans every time I walk in, I highly recommend Methodical Coffee on Main.

TLDR; pretentious coffee in an unpretentious space. 10/10 would recommend I’ve had this place recommended to me for years and when I had a chance to be in the area, I went out of my way to go. Was not disappointed. Delicious espresso drinks. Beautiful espresso machine. They are precise with weight of grounds, they serve milk based drinks by the oz. Not the name. For example order a 4.5 oz instead of a cortado and an 8 oz instead of a cappuccino. They know what they’re doing. They didn’t have many snacks or food, so that was a bummer, but they do coffee 100% and that’s fine by me. The icing on the cake is that they play vinyl records for their music. Legit vinyl records piping through the sound system. Super cool chill, unpretentious space for very pretentious coffee. Seating upstairs too. Outdoor seating available off a small plaza. Plenty of options. 1000x yes.

Excellent seating options with a nice upstairs section overlooking the shop below. There are high top, couch and café seating options. I got the horchata and it was solid, not the best I've had but very good.

Great for a quick meeting spot downtown. My mocha latte was good and served quickly at my table. Always friendly staff and a great way to start a day downtown. Unless you are parking a car then it's a great way to see about an hour of downtown. Thanks Greenville Parking, you know how to keep the downtown businesses on edge...

We absolutely love this coffee place in downtown Greenville. They pour much love and care into their drinks and serve their customers. We were super thrilled when Methodical purchased the Baked Room. The pastries are seriously, absolutely delicious!! The staff are always friendly, and we love the atmosphere. We love watching people come in with their dogs and see their furbabies. Love, love the community.

I had a pour-over, earl gray loaf, and tres leches latte. All three items were delicious! The pour over was very tea-like, and you could taste the notes. The Earl gray loaf was well balanced and not too sweet. The decor is incredible as well, with vinyls playing over speakers! Great lighting.

Small but mighty. A small coffee shop in a very modern office building. Despite being in an office building, the coffee shop stands out due to its branding. They display lots of their own beans and merchandise. The staff were all professional and working diligently. The coffee was excellent (cortado). There is a second floor with extra tables to sit at or work from.
